Beijing, Day 2
Today we climbed the Great Wall of Tourism I mean China!! Well, actually, I climbed up one flight of steps, turned around and realized that climbing UP the Great Wall also required climbing DOWN, and then my acrophobia kicked in. So I sat in the shade and watched Kevin disappear into the smog I mean clouds. They say he who does not reach the great wall is not a true man. They didn't say anything about actually climbing it. Kevin's manliness is not in question as he made it up over 2,000 steps.
In the morning we went to a Christian church service that was actually quite good. It reminded me a lot of Crossroads, especially when they started singing "Blessed Be Your Name." I got kind of emotional singing that song and thinking about Zoe Mei as well as missing the boys. We also visited the jade factory where they made the medals for the Olympics. Kevin got kind of emotional when I asked for the credit card to buy some bracelets.
